The Philadelphia Flyers faced a big challenge on Monday night, needing to end a 6-game losing streak against a Golden Knights team that had won 7 straight.
It was Travis Konecny who came up huge for Philly, converting two breakaways, one shorthanded, for the Flyers’ two goals. The even more unlikely performance came from Sam Ersson, who’d been even worse than his terrible numbers lately, who closed the door on all but one VGK chance.
