After months of building the depth chart and weeks of evaluating 91 players this summer, the Eagles set their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday. It likely has a shelf life of about 20 hours, though, because the Eagles could make changes on the waiver wire Wednesday. The 17-man practice squad will also be a part of the Eagles’ extended roster and gameday plans.
“We've got a lot of uncertainty,” Howie Roseman said. “We've got a lot of work here to do, too, as a staff with all the players that are available. Any upgrade, even incrementally, that helps the team we're looking for here.”
