This is less about Bowers than the trade itself. Were this for Terrion Arnold or Troy Fautanu or Jared Verse or J.C. Latham, it would still be questionable process.
It's understandable to scour the NFC landscape, think about an Eagles roster with several players in their prime and a few more nearing the end of their time as difference-makers and have the impulse to "go all-in." But the draft is about the big picture and it would require a disconcerting lack of humility to think anyone in the teens of this draft ...
