There is an adage in baseball that states every team is going to win and lose 60 games in a season. It’s what teams do in the other 42 games that determines a season.
If playing games against sub-par teams like the Colorado Rockies and A’s are part of those other 42 games, the Phillies are certainly on the right track. The recently completed seven-game road trip produced a 6-1 record, contributed to the best winning percentage in all of baseball (.642 at 34-19) and a streak of 21 wins in the last 27 games.
